Weird noise coming from front wheels.

from what i can tell the noise is not coming from a belt, it is coming from both of the front wheels. i checked the power steering fluid and im not sure what to look for in the brake fluid but it looks full. brakes work fine, steering works fine. could it be abs? i dont know. i made a video to show the noise and where it comes from. i was gonna post this in the wheels and suspension forum but i dont really know whats causing the noise so i posted it here. in the video i show the noise coming from both wheels. and this noise comes randomly at all times, driving, idling, neutral, park, whatever. please help me out!

Take a second look at your belts…mainly the alternator belt!! I mean really look at them. I had this problem last week and it does sound like its coming from the front wheels, but its not. Make sure your alternator belt is not all cracked up and brittle, and make sure the grooves on it are also in good shape. Sounds exactly like what my car did last week. Something having to do with your belts is loose. It makes the noise while you are sitting still…and theres not too many things that it could be. He is my post from last week:

had my friend look at it, he thinks it may be the water pump :uhoh:
but it may also just be a belt. im gonna take off the belts soon (except alternator belt) to see if the noise stops. if not it may be a water pump issue,m lets pray that its not

its for sure not your wheels doing that. its something related to the engine. and more specifically the belts, alternator, water pump or power steering. like you said. take off your belts one by one and see if the sound still comes up. most of the time its the alternator belt that seems to squeel but check all your belts very carefully. and either way belts are very inexpensive to change.

refer to second post… its ur alternator belt. that or ur so jdm u do burnouts in park. lol. no really tho i JUST and i mean just… like yesterday handled this problem in mine. new alternator belt and havent had a single noise since.

Bet it’s a belt, the hallmark squeal. Bearings not out of the question too.

Follow up?? What was the problem??

I’m not trying to highjack. But I have the same noise except it’s very very faint and it’s coming from the driver side. The belts are fine, no cracks and are tight with specs. Oh it comes and go’s and it’s been doing that for a little over a week.

sorry, havn’t had time to take it in yet, ive been working every day, but i will definitely follow up once i solve it.
