alright guys i just put my old ls motor back in and now theres like a weird noise it sounds like the timing belt but im not sure this motor never had any problems when i pulled it out but i made a video of what it sounds like and posted it on youtube if you guys can watch it and let me know what you guys think you can hear the noise im talking about like around 14sec to 20sec of the video. so please let me know what you guys think after you saw the video. thanks for the help (THE VIDEO IS TITLED: 91 integra Whistle noise from engine bay)
it sounds like it could be the water pump or maybe the alternatore pully…
I just replaced my water pump and the new pump makes a similar sound but not as loud…
alright well i still havent replaced the water pump but planning on changing all that this weekend with the timing belt
ok so it can be the waterpump is going bad…my second thought would be that theres too much tension on the belt…or one of your pulley bearings is becoming dry…stick your ear in that bay and find where the noise is coming from…get a stethoscope
yeah could be a over tighten belt.
alright well im going to be changing all that this weekend because it has not been changed for a pretty long time so thanks for your input guys.
alright guys just replace my time belt and water pump and dont hear that noise anymore thanks for the help also man i hated changing it but this is my second time doing it and but it better than wasting 300 and up on a mechanic but thanks guys for your input
