I’d like to drive a GS-R… does anyone have one in the Bay that has no to mild modifications that I could try out? I’m trying to decide if I want one or not.
I tell you what, I’ve own an db2 gs-r which was my first da, sold it, got me an 93 rs da, sold it, and now drive a 92 da gs. out of all of them i prefer the gs-r, the reg da is so weaksause. I love the gs-r, it feels way much stronger, plus it was all stock and engine felt soooooo good. drove like it came out of the dealer, which i was 2nd owner.
only difference i saw between my stock GS-R and LS was being able to rev to 8k. its still has a very flat power curve and lacking in the the lower RPMs, real potential is when it is built.
thanks guys, here’s what I’m thinking: It’s going to be hard to find a gs-r, that is clean, and has little to no modifications. It would be easier to find a 92-93 LS that I can mod the b18 or swap in the b20 again. I love the lower-mid torque more than the high end torque. I am trying to see if its worth the trouble of a gs-r, even though I’d love to have an aztec green teg!!!
i have a gsr b17a, but it has 190XXX miles. I’m scared to pushed the motor, but it’s so tempting. It runs strong just like factory imo. GET ONE
i had 177k on mine before i wrecked the car and pushed it all the time. my LS has 204k and i push it from time to time, as long as you keep up with the maintenance its fine to push it every once and awhile.
mine had 194,xxx at the time and v-tec only ingage on first gear lol, and still smashd in it, i never got to fix it though. buyer fixed it all, but yeah its hard to find a nice clean one, jus get a ls/gs/se and swap em, but if you want original, it will always be original, whats differnce, vtec molding, interior seats, engine/tranny and cluster, thats it
I can swap anything I want and paint my teg any color. I am trying to figure out which engine set-up is better to start with. I’m almost thinking the b18 is better for what I want…
