There is a bar that connects somewhere near my axle and runs forward/back right next to my tranny. There is one on both sides. I started getting a structural noise every time I accelerated or hit the brakes, so I went down to check it out and I found that this bar had a nut on the end that fell off. I found the nut, but the bushing or washer or whatever it was is gone. Does anyone have any clue what I am talking about? What is it called? I can take pics if someone is willing to help me fix it!
The bar looks as though it exists to keep the axle from moving forward and aft into the wheelwell.
Red, I’m going to check with the dealership tonight and see if I can get just the bushing/nut/washer/whatever from them, because I don’t need the rod. If they want an arm and a leg, I’ll hit you with an e-mail, and maybe we can work something out.
