I had the car only for 1 week ,mods are custom 2.5 in exhaust from header back with testpipe . Anyone have any suggestions on how to get my 60’ down ? I tried lowering the air pressure but then I was getting even worse times

where u spinning alot try to ride the clutch a little bit if u r hard on cluch though

practice being a better driver. what tires are you running?

yeah, I was spinning a lot the first time and then the next 2 runs i let some air out of the tires , don’t know exactly how much( no gauge) but then tried to feather the clutch at about 2600 rpms and then i was getting worse times. i have stock gsr wheels with yokohoma tires , if its necessary I’ll go out side and check the size, What should my 1/4 mile times be at and how possible is it to get 2.1 60’ with street tires and nearly stock gsr . thanks for the help guys.
P.S. and your right I need more seat time in this car hehe

I went and checked out the size p195 60 14 and theyre style is as430 i think

Shouldnt a stock GSR run in the high 14’s?

no, according to the researching i have done , the stock 92 gsr runs around 15.4

isnt that just a factory number though

those tires my friend suck. get some es100s falken azenis dunlop direzzas or some other V-rated tire in a 205/50/15

i did a few 1.9 60ft on dunlop direzzas in a 205/50/15 and ran a 14.9 that pass in a RS gutted and weighed in at 2350, intake, exedy clutch, act prolite flywheel and remus muffler.

your car is capable of more, just keep going to the drag strip and practice untill u get better.

will do that, yeah I know that car has more capabilities that than, I just have to get more practice and those are the tires that came with the car so that will deffinetally be my next upgrade. Thanks for the input guys
P.S. nice times man and nice 60’

Nothing wrong with the tires. I did a few 1.9s 60ft with stock steelies and cheapo tires.

It just takes alot of practice, and getting used to launching your car.
Your time was fine for a stock GS-R w/ only an exhaust.

It’s got potential, add an intake, header, performance clutch, flywheel, and you should be in the very low 15’s, even 14’s.

I guess is what it all boils down to is practice huh! but that’s nice to know you guys are pulling good 60’ times with shitty tires, that means i just have to find the sweet spot! What exactly were you launchig at ? and what is your trim?

im running an RS which doesnt have a sunroof or any options at all so its lighter. and im alunching at 3K and just dumping the clutch. for me all i do is test the track to see where its sticky and where its not and try and get in the sticky groove. get to the track as early as possible so that you can get as many runs and as much practice in as possible.

About the same here. Ran 15.3s.
Launching at 3K rpm. Running a full interior 92’ LS DB1 (4 door) i/h/e/c&f.

A few more bolt ons, a few more tries, and you should be good.

damnit I want to go to the track this weekend but i have to work You guys are pulling some great times out there! I’ll try taking in some of your tips and let you guys know my times next time i hit the track and what i did differently plus my intake should be in some time this week , but who knows how much that will help out my driving lol.
