yeah, the guy with the k20 civic probably can’t drive or he is having some traction issues. there are 3 civics with stock k20’s that race here at our track and all of them are in the low 13’s
well im goin to the track tomorrow and well see how my b16 runs, only mods are short ram, rsr exmag, freshly changed oil, new ngk 6 series spark plugs, and gutted interior from behind the front seats, and pass seat removed, and power steering removed…we’ll see what it runs.
do i spy mugen RNR’s on that civic? or are they the Tenzo-R knock-offs?
and :werd: on the k20 civics. put a bone stock K20 in an EG civic and those fuggers scoot. my buddy richie brought his friend from sterling, VA up here to front royal/winchester. his friend drives a 95 civic 2dr with a JDM K20 (R-Spec from '05 *220hp i believe, not the 210 from USDM) anyway, he raced a guy with a turbo’d B18c1 EF hatch and smoked it. got him by like 2 car lengths. only thing done to the K20 is a custom CAI, a (obviously) custom exhaust manifold, cat-back exhaust (2.25") with a spoon muffler, skunk2 throttle body (not sure on the size, he didn’t say) a hondata intake manifold gasket, and a good tune, thats about it. fuckin thing makes like 230hp and around 180tq at the wheels. all that from an internally stock motor. its fuckin insane. my friend richie has pics of it. they aren’t digital pics, good old fashioned film pictures, so i’ll have to scan them, oh well. next time i see him, i’ll get them from him. this thing is a monster. VTEC sounds flat out evil with this thing.
