Whenever it rains my trunk fills with water, my whole carpet is soaked(all through the car) and my rear seats are wet! Why is this and how do i fix this. It is becoming a serious problem!! Somebody please help me!!
I did that and the page is unavailable. Please dont tell me how to search, i know how, the threads wouldnt come up so i was looking for a quick solution. If your not going to give me a suggestion, dont respond. Thanks
there ya go gettin all upset at people like a woman haha jk man. it may be the gaskets on the hatch. does the water come into the trunk through your tail lights? my brothers trunk was full of water yesterday too, but surprisingly mine doesnt have any water in it and it just sits in the storms, but ill check it tonight when i get home. like i said maybe check the gaskets. also good luck selling all your parts, i hear you are keeping the wheels and making the gunmetal, good luck lemme know how they look. call me about the lights or IM me.
hey i tried… not my fault the page dont werk… but if you search “water leak trunk” it will bring them all up… look at the “need help water in trunk” thread by JONNNY. (3rd thread)
but back to the problem, its most likly your sunroof drain tube that is disconnected behind the passenger side wheelwell. instead of draining out the vent it jus flows into the trunk and when the momentem of the car at stops it makes the water flow over the floorboard and into the seats and then down along the floor… jus pull the panel off and youll see it down at the bottom. finger tip of silicone and your set.

Jeff hes talking about the gutters on the side that pour into a channel that runs down inside the hatch, theres a hose that i dont think is plugged on mine so all the water is draining into the trunk, then from there going into my car, why the rear is wetter than the front

If there is no sunroof and your getting water in ALL of your carpet, I would check these things:
Tail Light gaskets
Antenna drain tube
Front firewall
Check those things. The symptoms are very obvious in that you’ll see condensation around the area’s of concern.
Front isnt as bad as the rear, so that cant be it, antenna hole is shaved so thats not it, but i might have seen condensation in tailights… that might be my problem, i’ll check in the morning when its light out

If there is condenation in the tail lights, trust me, it’s that! I had that same thing happen to me last year so I know what’s going on. Anyhow, if that is the case, the first way of solving it is to change the gaskets…then what you need to do is look inside your tirewell, there should be a drain hole to let any type of water leak out. The hole should be near the towhook…
aaron, same **** as me … took it all out today - trunk, back seat, spare, box, amp, carpets … looks like it filled the trunk, jumped the lip onto the gas tank, where it soaked the back seat, then jumped the next lip and went under the footwell carpet… yours smell hella gross too, like mildew? It’s horrible. All my windows are down and there’s a big ass fan in my trunk right now, all night and all day tomorrow. Getting a carpet and trunk carpet off a dude here, black this time, hope it goes away. Looks like it was my trunk seal, filled it in with silicone and i’ll test it when i get a chance
90 ls - anyone know how to get to the other end of the drain tubes on both sides? would i need to remove my C-Pillars? mine were out, and draining into my car, but everything is gutted, so i can see where it was. and when i saw it, it was all dirty n was all nasty, i want it to be able to flow through.
