I am going to be getting some new tires soon so I an looking for input on them. For starters I do not drive this car in the rain at all ever I can it only driven when it a nice day. I would like some tires that are very sticky that do not track in the road to much. I also probley only put around 4 to 6000 miles a year on it dont drive crazy but do like going on freeway on ramps fast lol. So any input would be great looking at 195/50/15 or 205/50/15 I want p-zero’s but they do not make them in 15’s
i have Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires and i love em, i don’t have alot of power mods but i do have koni/gc suspension and no matter how hard i push them they’ve never let me down. 205/50/15 is the size i have about $120 each so not too expensive, i drive them in the rain obviously with a little bit of caution but i’ve never really hydroplaned with them to the point i was out of control, just in case you get stuck in a rain storm
Toyo R1R. I had the RT615 in a 215/45r16 and switched to a 225/45r16 R1R and noticed a DRASTIC improvement over the RT615’s.
I’d recommend the Bridgestone RE-11’s or the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec. Two of the best tires out there in that price range at the moment.
If you want good opinions about tires I’d stop looking here, you’ll probably get some good advice, but it’ll be mixed in with a lot of bad advice. There are too many people here who will evaluate a tire based on street driving and inexperience. Their opinion may be swayed by something as simple as their car not being aligned properly, or them thinking a shitty High Performance All-Season is awesome because they’re used to cheap touring tires… I’ve found that the best place to research tires is the RR/AutoX/TT forum on H-T. Those guys know tires, and there’s always people trying the new stuff.
Oh, and check tirerack, there’s TONS of good info there.
Bfg g-force 195/50/15
i agree with colin as he’s the reason i bought my tires :), i heard alot of bad stuff about the reviews on tire rack tho all local tire shop gosip, but they said some of the reviews are fake etc, they actually thought i was crazy for mounting the RE-11’s and planning to daily the car, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know how to drive in the rain, and i wouldn’t be stupid to drive them in the snow.
anyway yes H-T is a great resource lots of hard core track people there.

By fake reviews are you talking about the general reviews from people who bought the tires, or the actual tests that tire rack does? Because I was talking about the tests, like this: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=118
i made my decision based on tire racks testing. i am currently running the RE-11’s as well on stock suspension and these tires are amazing. sticky as hell, make cornering hella fun, launching even on the street is great with my b20b swap and a few mods
but i also vote take colins advice get some legit un biased research
+1 for Direzza Star Specs. you live in socal right Russia? the only thing i dont like about my Start Specs was that they werent the greatest (or good at all) at treading water. but you dont drive hard so im assuming that you NEVER drive hard in the rain, (and living in california, what rain?) so this may not be an issue for you.
falkens are good tires but dont last long. i like the federal formza’s (i think thats what they are called)
I bought some Falken Zx 912’s (which replaced the 512’s) and have had them for 9000 miles with no noticable tire wear, and I havent even rotated them ( I know I know) They replaced my Dunlop Dz 101’s which gripped hard. The Falkens feel solid and road noise is low but they dont feel like they grip as good as my Dunlops. Plus the Falkens look good on my SSR’S
as long as the tire looks good, thats all that matters. lol
Here’s an article of some good tires Courtney http://www.team-integra.net/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=17&TopicID=279332&PagePosition=1
I have to agree that my tires look sexy lol but yeah I need to rotate them they feel like they slip just a little some times when taking off which they didn’t do when they were new. Idk how many miles I’ve put on them but its alot probably gonna just wait and swap my wheels out when I put some new tires on the steelies for winter
