ok i got my car washed at my work yesterday, 5min after that im goin down the street i see my check engine light come on and i press the gas and my RPMs go down(i was at a standstill) and it cut off.
i tried to start it and got nothin, it was sounding like it was miss firing, i heard some backfirin not loud but u could hear it
i checked the fuses
check spark plugs
checked distributor
ecu is blinking once when i put the key in the on position and once when i turn it off
what else could have gotten wet? what connections to check? Also does anyone have a picture of there fuse box open i wanna check somthing out thanks
did you checked the code the ECU is trowing? to check the fuel pump, simply put the ket to the “RUN” position and listen carefully, if she’s working correctly, you should hear her pressurise the fuel lines… HTH
the fuel pump is in the truck, near the rear seat, flip your back seats and listen, you should hear a kind of whistling sound, but it’s only for like a second or two… I would check the ECU codes, if the check engine light came on, there is something the ECU wants to say, so listen to him!
