A guy that works in speedworld told me that all coilovers are the same, your just paying more for the name… is this true? anybody have raactive coilovers? can anybody reccomend me to good coilovers less than $200? thanks
wow…how many people are going to post about cheap coilovers!!! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! if you want to bounce off of every bump in the road, get cheapos…otherwise, save your pennies and get something good…GC, Skunk2, these are race proven and arent tooooo expensive
When it comes to anything in your car, you should always go with a good name. Imagine your car like your body. Would you buy some PayLess shoes for a track event, or would you rather buy some from Nike or Reebok.

Haha!!! I’ll take the Payless shoes, thanks
Umm to answer the original question, yes you do get what you pay for… as for me? I simply don’t have enough money for Ground Controls (they’re like $700 here in Canada) and I am just going to go with either Ractive, HP Racing or Tenzo-R coilovers, just because I want my car dropped… I don’t plan on auto-crossing or racing or anything, I just want my car to be dropped… it’s all a matter of your choice!
I’ve got Ractive coilovers…got them for the same reason…they were cheap. I bought mine used for $150 cdn. They’re alright…I don’t really have much to compare them too…and I’m still running on stock shocks so that can’t help lol
I haven’t had any problems with my coilovers except for getting little rocks jamming up the threads from time to time but that was just cause I was too lazy to wash them off before I tried to adjust them.
