Ok I stole the idea off another forum. With the people around here I expect some good responses.
What modifications do you regret doing to your DA?
I have 2. Buying a set of 14" steelies without realizing that they did not clear the calipers (from an 80s Accord). The other regret is buying a used LS motor rather than building up my old engine with LS/VTEC.
I don’t regret modding mine, everything I did to it was an improvement over the condition of the car when I bought it. I do, however, really regret selling it.
I regret selling a clean ass db2 milano red integra bone stock. ok now, who owns it in kansas city, KS sold in 2007 haha. I also regret trading my clean ass ef hatch for a shitty trade.
I regret yanking the A/C compressor and freon lines from under the hood. When I bought the car 10 years ago, the A/C didn’t work. Tried adding R-12 (at the time, I had access to a 40 lb tank of the stuff and all the equipment to add it to the system), and there was a massive leak in the condensor. I said f*%k it, I don’t need A/C and I’m probably not going to have this car very long. Later, when replacing the radiator, I yanked the compressor and lines because they were in the way. Only later did I realize I could have gotten the system fixed and properly converted to
R-134a for fairly cheap. I have regretted not having A/C on some long road trips during the summer.
I regret buying my 92 integra and every penny ive put into it since then.
(only because it was in worse shape than i tought when i got it, and i overpaid on top of it)
but i enjoy driving it and even working on it.
make the best of a bad purchase.
I regret all the money I spent on stupid shit.
I regret the overly tall Hiro wing sitting in storage, I may finally get to use it but I think I have out grown it.
I regret taking a bone stock DB2 and modifying the shit out of it.
I regret letting my stock AGP hood get all fucked up during my move.
I regret not buying several sets of window visors when they could be had all day for 149.
I regret cutting into my harness to wire up the stupid AFC Neo.
I regret selling my extra p61.
I regret letting my spare mint AGP bumper sit outside for 3 years and get warped. It might not be warped though.
I regret skimping on balljoints and tie rod ends 3 years ago, will be OEM this time around.
I regret being so careless in taking care of my battery and removing the ABS and other brake components, which peeled the paint in the bay.
I regret ever leaving my house that cold winter blizzard night to get taco bell.(last winter) I was so committed on getting there in my DB1, I even took a friend. Tires had nearly 0% tread all around ,and on the way back home ended up snapping ball joints and totally destroying my upper control arms. SMH

I’m willing to take care of that wing if you want to sell it.
Nothing yet on my new DA. Only had her 16 hours or so haha.
On my first DA I regretted the Skunk2 exhaust. And then I regretted throwing away my stock exhaust. And I also didn’t like the Ingalls camber kit because if messed with the upper control arms and made my car feel funny. Oh well. I don’t regret selling that car though because the AC went out on it a week after I sold it in the middle of summer.
However, I use the things I regret as a learning experience. If I get an exhaust on this new one, it will be quiet. If I correct the camber issues with the current springs, it will be with a full UCA.
I regret not spending the $1800 I saved up last year on fixing up my car. Took 2 trips cross the state to find another DA in nicer condition. Both had lots of rust and didnt run as good as mine. Then expenses for living came that I took out that money. I could of used that money to get my body work done as well as the timing belt and suspension. Better luck next time.
If I knew this car was to last this long, I would have washed off more of the salt during the harsh winter driving. Now I am dealing with rust, and is the primary reason to be getting a new car soon. It’s held up pretty good for 18 yrs, but time to move on soon.
I regret installing poly motor mount inserts on my daily driver
I regret remote starting my car, forgetting it was in first gear and running into the tow hitch of a lifted truck
When I had my DA9, I regret chopping my stock exhaust and slapping on a Sebring Exhaust. When I finally stop being cheap and went out and bought a Greddy Sp2 exhaust to put on, my friend who was installing the Greddy exhaust for me pointed out that the shop who installed the Sebring exhaust hacked off my original hooks where my hangers mount onto. In the end, he had to
re-weld them back. The Greddy ended up looking a little slanted. Oh well, that’s what I get for not doing it right the first time.
