I just picked up a rust free trunk lid. It came with what looks like a 92-93 GS-R spoiler, the writing on the LED bar matches the writing on my GS-R. Was wondering what the correct spoiler for the 4dr looked like.
Here’s a shot of the back of my 92 4-door. Not sure if that’s what you’re looking for, but that’s an OEM wing.
hmm, I can’t see the attachment.
I replaced the trunk, and the spoiler that came with the trunk lid is identical to the one on my 92 GS-R.
my dad had a 4 door 1 time and it was a gs and it had some sort of rubber lip on the trunk! is that what u might b talking about?
A rubber lip? Would be interesting to see that!
im pritty sure it was rubber i can b wrong but im totally sure it was a option it was a oem peace because iv seen other 4 doors with it. its like a little lip on the trunk
I have that same spoiler on my four door. Anyone i’ve talked to says its aftermarket. Or was a dealer option or something. It does have the led in it so I don’t think it would be ‘stock’ so to speak b/c the fact that there is still the third brake light.
Like the pic I posted? It’s definately an Acura part, since the LED has the STANLEY part number on it. The part number on the LED matches the part number on the LED found on my 92 GS-R, so odds are the dealer installed the wing as an option (explains the 3rd brake light on the rear shelf). Even the wiring, mounting hardware, etc… are all the same. Some quick measurements indicate that both of my spoilers are the same dimension. So if it’s aftermarket, someone made an exact copy.
[QUOTE=b17gsr]hmm, I can’t see the attachment.
That’s the same wing that I have. It’s factory, but optional. It has the LED light bar on it, but also I have the third brake light in the back window, it’s just disconnected.
I’ll try to get the pic to work…it’s showing up when I look at it.
PS, do you have a trunk lid that never had a spoiler mounted? I’ll trade anyone if they’re interested. I was going to take mine off and shave the holes, but it’s just easier to get one that doesn’t have holes in it.
nice background!!!
be sure to get the right one for your car. some don’t know that ther is a difference between 90-91 and 92-93 trunk lids on the 4 door.
My old trunk lid was pretty rusty, so no good for you.
That was the G2 cruise to Banff a couple months ago. We had a pretty good turn out.
I know…every 90-91 I find is clean, and didn’t have a wing on it. Every 92-93 I find is either rusted up or has holes. I think I’m going to be stuck filling in mine.
the only integras with a rubber spoiler that comes to mind is the 1st gen integras…answered this 3 years later but eh…
The one he’s talking about is the Optional OEM Lip spoiler.
They are decently hard to find. You can find one if you look hard enough or occasionally (not often) one will pop up for sale that you stuble across.
I just sent some $ to a member here picking one up.
Me and afew people found one afew years ago on a DB1, But i at the time didnt have much interest in it… So it got sold to another member here.
Here’s how it looks. It’s made of a hard squeeshy material.
(BlackDB1’s Db1, my photography )
Here’s the current spoiler on my DB1
^^^cool…
would that trunk lip spoiler fit on a da9?
^^^i asked the same question on another thread…he said no cause the DB’s trunks are more squared…but if their made of a foam spongey matierial…maybe with some mods it’ll fit…
it would be difficult to mod because of the material… Its not like you can use fiberglass to reshape it.
