What ecu chip work best with a LS/VTEC (P28 ecu)

I’m trying to find out which P28 chip works best for a LS/VTEC application. I’ve heard the Jun, but not sure. Can I still use this ecu on this engine without the chip??

I have heard the Skunk works pretty well from the guy I get my chips from…I personally got the Mugen because the vtec kicks in at 5700 which is pretty ideal for my JG cams. People also say the Vision is not bad. Why don’t you try them all for urself? I mean when people chip the ecu they usually get a socket soldered in place of the stop chip, so chips can be interchangable.

I am NOT sure if the ecu will work without the chip, SOHC vs DOHC. I wouldn’t try it…even if someone told me that it works.

Ok, thanks!! I’ll look into that!! So, if I get all three I can change just the one prom with the socket. I don’t have to change the jumpers or the other smaller chip, right??

yup just switch out the eprom and you r good to go.
