What engine setup to swap?

Can you guys give me some advice on what engines i should swap into my car? Prices and horsepower? B16a is a torque pisser… but i think thats the one i need!

ignore the mod. your question is valid here

the B20 has more torque…but not all that in peak hp.

i would go for the B16…the B16 would out perform the B20…by far…
BUT if you can get the B20 to host a VTEC head…then get the B20

later

maybe a stock b20 but if you look at the same price range you can get a b20 and cams cheaper then you can get a stock b16 for.

nippon-motors.com - This website is for sale! - nippon motors Resources and Information. has the b20b for 800 bucks. stock it has 146hp and 133ft-lbs of torque. then you can buy the crower 403 cams for around $350-400 and add another 15-20 hp to it. You would have about the same hp rating as the b16 and you would have alot more torque which would make your car alot more enjoyable to drive. The swap would be easier sense you dont have to change your ecu and you just swap over your b18a tranny. vtec is cool because you can put the vtec stickers on your car and stuff if your into that but you dont need vtec to make your car fast.
