what engine to replace b18a in 91 ls special???

Ok here is the deal, I just bought this 91 ls special 5 spd integra thats in good condition besides motor smokes when you get on it. I want to get a motor to replace it and that will handel some power bolt ons , like a turbo or nos. I want a simple job swap , rather not mess around with changing the harness unless its easy enough.

my main question is would a b18b out of a 95 integra fit in my 91 ls special on the factory ecu and harness? what would have to be changed out?

what other engine would be a good choice for around 700-1000 bucks?? should i swap out tranny and engine to a b16a?? tell me what you guys think I personally like the b18 series engines because of the torque.

p.s what about a b20b?

If you like torque, use the B20. Do a search, there are a few cars here with that motor. Sounds like a basic R & R job with exception to the thermostat housing.

whats needed for the swap? and will it be stronger then my origanal b18b?

yes, b20. from the dyno charts I’ve seen the b20’s make as much if not more than a b18 with i/e/h/cams/tuned. long blocks are $800 from www.hondamotorsonline.com and you use all your stock sensors, wiring, and tranny.
