You know the comptech icebox, what is so special about it? I dont think they make one for our car but do you think one could be adapted?
that depends…
how many beers can it hold?
=)
well first of all it keeps somewhat a stock look. it uses the honda/acura deisng of the intake system but improve on it even more. you get the cool air you would with a CAI but you also have a much quieter intake vs a short ram or CAI. from what i know the icebox is well known for it’s tq increase throughout the rpm.
Icebox is a rapper, isn’t he?
Ya, I always get that icebox character mixed up with that icecoffee dude.
Im not positive but Im pretty sure that it was the icebox that I saw it compared on a dyno to a bunch of other CAI and it did the worst out of all of them
Lodoss is right on.
So, No, the ice box works from the Hondas original intake concept and requires the 94+ DC chassis style box design. Getting one to work on a DA is improbable…

suckage
the icebox will fit if you have a relocated battery right? Just like all later model honda/acuras?
I’m resurrecting this thread to ask if anyone has successfully installed a Comptech Icebox into a G2?
I was always wondering the same thing because i like the stock look…
i’d like to get the comptech but rather then buying an expensive icebox and making it fit… i’m making one out of my stock air box from the hole in the bottom and just throw in a k&n…
Someone sucessfully installed an ITR stock airbox. Won’t work if you have AC though - lines are in the way. And the battery has to be relocated.
