What is the original ECU for a 92 Acura Integra LS?

Hey guys,

I know it’s been quite awhile since I’ve been active on this site. I think the last post I made was about the theft I endured in Nebraska. Anyway, I guess I’ll get to the point. A couple years ago the ECU in my integra fried and I had to replace it. I was given an ecu from one of my brother’s friends who is into Honda’s and Acura’s like me. It was chipped when I got it. But since I’ve had it, I have really bad idle problems. I also notice that since I"ve had the ECU in my car, My first 2 windshield wiper settings dont work, and my check engine and a few other miscellaneous lights stay on. Does anybody know the original ECU meant for my car? Does anybody know any reputable sites I might possibly be able to buy this particular ecu from? I found an ecu site, But I dont know how reputable it is.

your windshield wipers shouldn’t have anything to do with the ecm.
but the original ecm’s for 92 are both the p75 and pr4 obd1

Where is the best places to start keeping an eye out for them on the internet?

hell if i know, man. i always hit the wreckers. ebay?

I would look up the part on the dealers site …I know its expensive there Im not telling you to purchase one ther but atleast it will help you find the right ecu and part#.

Welfare posted accurate information…

P75’s came in DA’s? All i have ever seen come out of a DA was a PR4 and i have had quite a few.

My '93 LS came with a P75.

Not to sound stupid… But going back to Welfare’s post. Both the P75’s and PR4 OBD 1 ECU is compatible and will work for my Integra?

Both of them come in OBD1, and both are for LS ecus, so yes, they will both work.

Thank you for all the info guys! Now… Where would be the best place to start looking for one? Ebay? Craigslist? Junkyard?

The windshield wiper problem is because of that stupid control module behind the inside fuse panel. I forget what it’s called. Where the door chime comes from. Yea look for the ecu in the junkyard. You can find one if you’re persistent enough

Thank you for the tip gilcontr. As far as the windshield wipers, Is there anyway to mess with or replace the control module so the speeds quit sticking and being tempermental?

Yea it’s the size of a skinny cigarette pack. Just remembered it’s called the icu. You can open them up and fix them or try your luck at the junkyard. To get to it, all you have to do is remove the fuse panel. It is on a socket behind it. Attached to the actual fuse panel. If you look for ICU on here or in the teg tips, you’re bound to find info on how to mess with it and pictured of what it looks like. Good luck!

Thank you for the tip. I’m going to start searching and reading up on it.
