What is this plug?

Can someone please tell me what this is and why I don’t have anything that is supposed to go inside it? This is from inside of car looking at driver tail light assembly.

damn no one? I cant be the only person with random plug…

I believe all DAs have that plug thats just sitting there, nothing to worry about. It may be for a rear fog light or something but I never really looked in to it.

Yeah i know its nothing super special as there is nothing to plug into it, just trying to fix my reverse lights and wondered what this is.

Have the same plug, nothing plugged in to it.

yea, all of the da’s i’ve had had that plug. now i wanna know what it’s for

Trailer hitch light plug.

its for a trailer hitch

lol mike beat me to it

WTF!! theres something you didnt know about these cars

Trailer hitch plug inside the car, how do you plug it in when the trailer harness plug is outside of the car?

I have yet to run into a Honda/Acura that does not have that plug, you can pick up the “addapter” trailer plug from any trailer supply store, it is plugnplay and has built-in flasher compensator, [signal/hazard lights flash at same rate when trailer is plugged in], I have one on my 94 Integra. 94

So how does it get ran to the outside of the car to plug in?

im sure it would be easiest to just run the wires threw the gromet that the LP lights go out of.

Good information. Thanks everyone!
