What Motor To Do?

Depends on your altitude. 91 octane is acceptable for 11.5:1 at sea level and up to 12:1 at higher altitudes technically. That’s according to the math, of well what compression does 91 octane fuel detonate? Pretty high level, but, what happens when you compress a crapload of air into the cylinder with it? Well your 300cc squirt of fuel just got another 300cc of “02” in the jug with it.

Squish them together, and welll… BAM! hehe

I’m going to go medium static compression with a medium effective compression when I boost.

In order for the boost to be stabil I must not exceed an effective compression of 15:1 (I believe) oh [don’t ask me why it is 15:1 on 91 with effective compression, that I have no clue why]

So, 10.6:1 compression (give or take as decking isn’t quite the same as type-r) with a boost of

ok
Alright here’s my parts list so far:

B20Z block
Crower Maxi Light Rods
JE Pistons 12.8:1 CR
Z10 Girdle
GS-R Windage tray, oil pan and oil pump
ACL bearings
ARP Rod bolts
Z10 Breather Tank
GS-R Water Pump
GS-R Timing Belt
1 layer head gasket

GS-R head
Milled .010 to .020 to clean it up and slightly bump CR
Port and polish
5 angle valve job
New OEM valve seals
Bronze valve guides
Brian Crower Stage 3 Cams (310/308)
Brian Crower valve springs and valves
Skunk2 Cam Gears
310 or 450 injectors

Spoolin Performance Header
2.5" Hi Flow Cat and exhaust

Induction I’m not too sure on. Either a Skunk2 manifold with a bigger throttle body and a Password JDM Power Chamber Intake OR ITBs.
I’m still researching the ITB thing, I want this motor to still be streetable in every way shape and form.
um maybe a Christmas wish list. Do you know what you are really doing?

I’m not sure what set up I’ll run.

It’ll be surprise.
