what need to fot a b16a JDM into our teg ?

I was wondering since it’s a jdm first gen b16a , does it bolt right on , or what has to be done ?

to my knowledge, since you have a 92 teg, you should get a b16a2, its got 10 more hp than the b16a1. The engine should bolt right in.

What you need to do is use the search option and visit the teg tips.

A USDM B16A2 is exactly the same as a 1st gen B16A. 160hp 10.2:1 CR. There is a way to use a 1st gen OBD0 B16A in an OBD1 car.

How? Just do exactly as Elmer said:
#1 - Use the Search option (look in the upper right hand corner), the rest should be obvious…
#2 - Use the pull down menu on the main page and look in the Teg Tips section, then look under Engines…look for the Engine Swap Guide…

go with the b16a it bolts right in and all you will need is a new ECU. This engine comes in the JDM version of our car the DA6 and you won’t have any problems bolting it in.

Whatever you do, don’t forget the ECU, that’s very important (if you want to go fast) for a Vtec engine. Revving to 6800 just don’t go well.
