What oil filter are you regularly using?

I just happened to be doing some reading on ISO 4548-12 which is a standardized test for oil filters. I haven’t found a recent chart depicting the results. But I’m still curious what’s your go-to for filters?

I’ve been using the Wix brand for a while, but then it got pricey, so I’ve been bouncing between brands. I used to buy OEM by the case but then those got expensive too. I have some Fram Extra Guard filters right now. I still change the oil (full synthetic) every 3000 mi though and I think it’s a good idea considering the age of the engines (oil burn off). Perhaps it doesn’t matter as much but still curious what you guys and gals are running.

I use WIX, its the only filter brand i trust. Having worked in parts in the past, i trust FRAM about as much as i trust gas station sushi

I used to buy OEM by the case. In recent years, if I didn’t plan correctly and don’t have one on the shelf I use Mobil 1, if I have time then Amsoil.

I try to change it after each track day. The last 2 were kind of close and I ran out of time. I will send to sample to Blackstone labs and see how the oil is.

Where are you guys buying OEM? I heard eBay and Amazon were flooded with fakes.

Looks like the part number changed again: 15400-PT7-005 (Allied Signal USA)

Apparently the Honeywell A02 Part that was running for a while was crap. I think that’s what ended up making me switch from OEM a few years ago and I forgot about it.

Befriended a technician or two near me and was able to buy OEM through them from their work.

Ive always used Honda S2000 oil filter on my DA even though they are slightly shorter oil filters they work great. Someone long time ago show me that and never had problem.
