I have a 1990 GS and I want to change out the center of my steering wheel so that it says “HONDA” or has the Honda H logo instead of saying “ACURA.”
I don’t care about being JDM, I just want my car to say what it is, a Honda.
My question is: Which year/model USDM Honda steering wheel will fit? I don’t want to replace the whole wheel, because the cruise control buttons are on the spoke, I just want to replace the part you hit to honk the horn.
Will a 1990 Prelude, Civic or Accord wheel be the same?
If you really wanted you can get the JDM center piece. It says INTEGRA instead of acura. Your only other option is to change the wheel there isnt any other center piece that is going to fit.
that “jdm” center piece is in my opinion unnecessary. I mean how often do you read the acura on it right now? i dont remember the last time i even payed attention. unless your going for show points lol. theres a jdm piece right now for 20 shipped in the for sell section. good luck
It bugs me that it says Acura… I want it to say Honda. I’m not into the whole JDM-spec thing, though. I’m not going to go JDM crazy or anything but I would like the center section of my steering wheel to not say Acura.
I’m getting the trunk badge and wheel center caps off an Accord to replace the ones that say Acura on my car and I thought maybe the center section of a USDM Honda would fit but it doesn’t look like it will.
Thanks for the link but I had checked that out already, it’s not the right year. The 1990 steering wheel has a sort of triangular shaped center section.
