I’m looking for a high quality strut bar for my '92 gsr, but many of them don’t seem to clear the abs module. what fits?

Kyle
o cool i’m definitely in, post some pics when ur done. thanks!
If somehow that doesnt work out, though, does anyone know of any mass produced (spoon, mugen, comptech, etc.) bars that fit?
Pilot Motorsports.
Spoon.
and which of those would you recommend?
I know gready has one at least the use to I’m not sure if they still do or not. Ive seen some other off brand companies too but don’t know sells them, Hope that helps
Pilot cuz it’s cheap.
You can use any (non-abs) strut bar on the GS, GSR models equipped with abs.
I just moved the metal bracket and connector that was preventing the bar from fitting properly, only took a few minutes.
I’ve got a Greddy TRUST front strut that fits over my ABS since the mounts are tall…works pretty well, although I couldn’t tell you where you could find one, I bought my used a long time ago.
this is not true.
there are only a few that will fit fine. not all will fit, such one is the neuspeed one(only for non-abs). some other bars will have a close placement to the dashpot valve on the 90-91 models. also some bars have brackets that will not clear the abs unit or will run into other obstacles.
please search, this topic has been discussed before, and the names of what bar will fit has also been listed before. search.
The dashpot is irrelevant, every strut bar I have ever seen can be threaded up to increase height, and down to decrease height. Ive seen people use washers with the strut tower as well, so the dashpot should never be a problem.
The guy was asking what strut bar would work with abs, and I told him any strut bar, as long as you move the bracket and connector which prevents the strut bar from fitting properly.
What does the dashpot have to do with abs ?
because it is another factor that plays a role in strut bar fitment along with the abs unit. people have removed the bracket near the abs unit which made it fit. yes i agree, but then theres also the dashpot valve that some integras(90-91) have that come really close to hitting the bar.
any strut bar will not work. what about the neuspeed one?
True, it does come close to the dashpot valve, but that wasnt the guys question. He wanted to know which abs bar would fit.
What is the problem with the neuspeed bar ?
the neuspeed one does not work with the abs unit. it doesn’t clear it.
edit: heres the answer then to the original question. which can also be found by searching.
GAB $200
Spoon $160
Lightspeed $150
Z-Speed $150
Greddy (Trust) $100
Momocourse $100
Tenzo-R $90

OBX-R $60
Pilot Motorsports $40
Thank you very much for a straight answer; that only took 15 posts hehe.
you could have gotten a straight answer without even posting a thread just by searching. there are atleast 10 threads on this same topic.
dont forget the cusco. at least the silver one with the blue arms and center adjusting nut.
Not true, I have a Megan Racing bar here and it will not clear the dashpot no matter what I try. I’ve used washers and unthreaded the bolt to increase the height, still did not clear. Simply put, most of what you’ve stated here is incorrect information.
MR strut bars DO fit w/ABS
I have the Megan racing strut bar on my DB1 that has ABS. You have to remove the bracket that holds all the ABS connectors (pink in color on my 92). Also, you have to use some washers to clear the dashpots. I’m sure this had been covered before in some other thread. Again, the Megan racing strut bars WILL fit our cars w/ABS!
