I have a 1991 LS Sedan with a B18a1 engine. Just wondering which timing belt kit i should buy. I tried looking through this forum but they all seem outdated. And there are so many options on ebay/online. Planning to take it to a mechanic to get it installed. Thank you!
Do you mean the mechanic doesn’t know?
Well I’m buying the supplies then the mechanic will put it on, just wondering if there were any reputable brand names for the tensioner, waterpump, etc. I know there’s Aisin, GMB, and more with the kits online
Oh understood.
Stick with OEM if you can for those critical parts. You can try acurapartsonline / oemacuraparts / acurapartsnow etc. Their prices vary a little, and shipping prices vary. You can put your Integra model in there so you’ll know what the current part numbers are, because they get updated every few years.
For non-OEM, try rockauto.com . The site also allows you to input your model. I cannot attest to quality of those brands but at least they will be well-known.
Hope that helps.
Aisin is the best non-oem quality you can get. I am running an Aisin kit on my WRX.
If we’re throwing some brands around, I have been happy with Gates belts, and Spectrum oil pans. (I think it’s spectrum. . .)
