i was in the process of getting some new motor mounts for my vehicle since my old ones feel worn out> ( and i say feel because i can feel them when im at idle). But i was looking at the prices at the new motor mounts and they are pretty expensive. I also came across prothane motor mount insert kits, and they are a hell of alot cheaper. The specs on the prothane kit says these inserts eliminate the need for new motor mounts, is this true? I wanted to know if anybody had tried these out before, and what they recommend? also what would you recommend, new mounts or just the inserts?
Im mean this car is a daily beater(thats why i didnt want to spend that much money on new mounts)but at the same time i do want it run and feel smooth, and not like im in the engine bay. Also what would you recommend on used motor mounts? good or not goo? any info would be appreciated …
