What are some good exhaust brands that dont sound rapsy and ricey on the DA? I am looking for a new catback.
the best are $300+
RS*R
GReddy
Tanabe
HKS
Thanks!
RS*R
Greddy
A’Pexi
That’s my top 3.
Are you poor or rich?
poor lol well kinda
RS*r GTII, still sounds just like new.

your not gonna get anything brand new for 300.
those brand are all 550+
you can get skunk2 for 470, something like that. look on ebay,
all brands are there except for greddy and RSR. i dont know if these two are discontinued or what, they are hella expensive ,i think like 700
i dont feel like spending half of a jdm gsr motor for a catback, its all on you
with 700 you can do a lot more things
Neither RS*r is made anymore. I am thinking about getting another full GTII cat back for my car for years down the road, and also a GTII 3" inlet muffler for when going boost. Will never go with another exhaust.
Those brands i listed are discontinued (refferring to the OEM style) and the only way to get one is to buy used. Also you missed the “+” sign…
Cant go wrong with the HKS hi-power. I think there like $500 now.
DC sports is also good…which is what I have and sounds awesome
i didnt know dc sport makes catback for our car, can i ask how much?
its discontinued…and i believe it was over 500 when they made it
RS*R Exmag
HKS Hi Power
Greddy
I would not recommend a straight pipe exhaust that hangs below the gas tank and has no resonators for street use. I mean its basically a race exhuast with a gigantic fart can. I think you can do better making a custom race exhaust, and get a quieter and not as ricey exhaust for the street.
Otherwise
- RSR ex mag
- HKS Hi power
- Tanabe Medallion, racing hyper whatever
I have heard alot of exhaust here and the years I lived in japan. Yet to here one that sounds as good as the GTII. And yes it sounds like a full out race car. Not raspy though. Nothing like how a HKS gets after a couple of years. But then again in all my years of following imports I have never heard a SINGLE bad thing about RS*r. I was sceptical at first too regarding the sound, bought it for the fact of being a full out race exhaust, only one on the market from the factory. Couldnt be more happier. I even have some people looking at it that are in the EVO and subbie groups that I know. They love the sound of it.
Oh and found a site that has it on sale for only $349. Originally at $480.

I remember using that exhaust. Personally, I think it sounds better than any Greddy exhaust for the DA. It sounds better than the HKS HI-Power and the Tanabe Concept G. The only exhausts I like better than the GTII is the Exmag and the old school Tanabe G Power Medalion. It’s not really a problem but I dislike how the muffler on the GTII is slanted at an angle and same goes for the HKS.
Hrmm I looked up vids on youtube of the gt2 on a DA and some sound ricey and some sound good/aggressive. Does anyone have one under load instead of out of car vids revving it?
It is definately an aggressive sounding exhaust. For me, volume was an issue so I sold mine. Compared to the other aggressive sounding exhaust though, it is one of the better ones. I am not a fan of the fart can but I still like this exhaust. But I do have to say that it is a loud exhaust.
