Does anyone know the best way to remove SPORT BRONZE paint from Rota circuit 8 wheels? I have a set and two of them are starting to chip real bad around the lip. I want to remove the rest and see how that looks. Sport bronze wheel with polished lip. A buddy told me to use aircraft paint remover, but I’m afraid that it will eat through the polished lip underneath.
Careful with Aircraft stripper. That ish will eat through the Death Star (speaking from experience). I’d say check in with your local automotive paint store. They should be be able to tell you how to remove only the paint you want.
Here is a link that might help.

CRE8HVK…Thank you so much for that link. The thing is…I’m trying to remove just the lip paint. Is it even possible?? From what it looks like, that paint remover will eat through tape too.
What’s odd about it is when I’ve used it it won’t even get through a rubber glove. I’m sure you could do it if you brushed it on. I would advise against the sray on.
Ok, I’ll try it. Also…What type of bronze/gold paint did you use. What brand???
The link wasn’t me. I’ve never painted wheels before. I’ve only used the stripper for body panels and valve covers.
