i bought plastx and it totaly worked i would recommened that to any one who is trying to make there 1 pieces look clean
Im gonna clearcoat mine myself. I have some automotive clearcoat sitting around so I may as well try it. I was just worried about how the stuff would hold up with heat and such. Either way, if it cracks I’ll just sand it off and start again. Thanks for the heads up guys…Ill let you know and post pics.
Cool
Actually i called a few places and no one recommends clearcoating them. I have found a place locally though that sells protective films (like tint) for plastics. The aeronautics and marine industries have been using for awhile so Im gonna try that and see how it goes. Will post pics when done.
stays clear
What?
bump cause im gunna need it
I’ve done the teg tips one before and it cost a lot for the Meguires polishes and was hell on my fingers. This time I took a different rought and bought this :

at The Drivers Seat. It worked like a charm my headlights look like new again.
It is on sale for $49.00 you can easily folish a few peoples headlights to get your money back! there is plenty of materials to do the process on at least 6-8 cars.
Just for the record, I have never had any problems with cracking, so the person that had problems could have messed something up. Not saying he did but I don’t see that happening unless the wrong mixture was used or just not prepped right. Here is a pic for the record…
there is a company called permatex they make some pretty good stuff you should buy their headlight restoration kit…I guarantee that willl work perfect. (personal experience)
it’ll work perfectly if u put enough elbow grease into it. but yes it does work. let us know how long the look lasts.
