whats wrong with my heat?

i just put in a new radiator yesterday. but my heat is still messing up. when i turn it on its hot 4 a like a sec then it gets cold. this happens everytime i turn it off. can someone tell me what the problem is?

I’m confused. Your heat? The engine temp? The heater actually inside the car? What are you refering to?

I’m confused because, if it was the heater inside the car, why would you replace the radiator?

Thermostat maybe !? Heater core!? Most likely it’s the thermostat . Also when you put the new radiator in did you bleed out the air in the system !? Just off the top of my head .HTH

I had the same problem
I replaced the radiator but didnt replace the thermostat
car ran cold and heat barely worked so i went back in and repalced the thermostat and now the engine temp is normal and the heat is blasting (even on the lowest setting)

i need help with mine
i have the heat on but when the car is idle cold air comes out
when i rev past 3000 rpm the air is hot
could this be my thermostat
any help please
winter is cold at the stoplights with no heat

I had the same prob and it was the thermostat its a bitch to change but well worth if you want some heat.

try flushing out the heater core. then replace t-stat. under 10 bucks and sum time.
