last night i was installing my cd player in my 91’ teg. after getting all the wiring done and trying it out it worked fine. then i pulled the cd player out a little bit and it shut off. i turned the key pulled it out put it back in and it wouldent turn. the wheel is now locked up i cannot move it more than an inch and i cant turn my key.
i checked most fuses related to it. ignition mainly and none were blown
any help would be useful
not to call you stupid or anything but did you try turning the wheel and key at thesametime. i think the wheel should turn to the left not much tho and then you should be able to turn the key to get it out

How worn out is your ign. key, is there any chance you are using the wrong key?:idea: 94
the ign. key is pretty worn. and i just tried the spare which is virtually new. and i was useing the right key. thanks anyway
Were you able to fix it? I currently can’t get the key to move and the wheel is completely locked. I mean there is no freeplay to the left or right. I could really use the help right now since I can’t move my car and street cleaning is coming up.

Try turning whee left and right hard as you try turning ign. switch.
The same question applies, how worn out is your ign. key? 94
