Okay, I’m trying to help out a friend of mine on a problem he noticed on his DB2 that he recently picked up.
His right front wheel isn’t positioned where its supposed to be. He tells me it seems like its pushed back a bit, closer to the door, as opposed to the other side which is dead on. He just had the steering rack replaced.
As far as I know, the car was never in any accidents. Any ideas on how to correct it? I live in VA and he lives in Houston, TX so I’m going by what he’s telling me over the phone, and I have no pics to show to give you an an idea as to what I’m talking about.
the caster is off on the right front. if he has a full race traction bar he can get it adjusted back. if not he will need to check the radius rod connections on the front crossmemer and the lower control arm. sounds like whoever did the work may have moved the arm back and only used one of the bolts.
that’s what he was thinking. i’ll let him know what you said. thanks a bunch
3rd gen Accord adjustable caster rods should solve his issues.
the car has been accidented guaranteed if the wheel is pushed back. ran into a curb or maybe something worse. either way as you know caster isn’t adjustable on our cars. and even then something is bent so even if he puts the accord radius rods or gets a traction bar to correct the caster something is bent somewhere.
sorry for bumping an old thread. but what do you guys think would be the solution for this?

i havent had a chance to take alook at the lca or the subframe but im hoping nothing is bent.
i dont quite understand what the guy was talking about with the radious rods or the crossmember. what are you guys thoughts?
i had an accord with this problem. the bad caster made it drive like shit and felt very unsafe at highway speeds. my solution was to sell it.

i would look a little more into those parts your “guy” was talking about. hes correct about them being a possible casue, could also be the lower control arm is bent or the radius arm bushing could be shot!
how often do those radious rod bushings go out. is it common?
