I got a camber kit, and then my car started pulling to the right… so I moved my front tires to the rear… now it squeals like crazy even going around turns at 10mph… some times when i go straight at a high speed it will squeal also. I was thinking about puting the front tires back and doing a burnout to wear it down to normal.
I would have the alignment checked. I had bad toe (get your mind out of the gutter) and it would cause the car to pull when I turned.
Ben
my car is wayy to low to get alignment done.
That could be a problem then. Can they just align the toe without doing camber?
Another thing, are your front and rear tires different?

yes they are different… but it was cool before the camber kit.
The front tires might just be squeeling more because they’re cheaper or something and I would attribute the rest to bad alignment. I think adding the camber kit could have changed the toe settings because there are two camber adjustments for each wheel and if the front setting is different than the back setting for a certain wheel, then it would turn the wheel, wouldn’t it?
Ben
My rear camber isnt bad at all. I have a 3" drop so you could imagine the camber it rides on the corner of the tires.
Go get your car aligned. When you install a camber kit your toe settings will be out of whack. If you need to raise it up some, go get it aligned then bring it back down after. If you dont get it aligned you will have horrid steering wheel pull everytime you turn and burn out your tires faster then having just bad camber, Im talking withen a few weeks.
But its the back wheels that are ****ed… and those are normal… they have never been messed with… except for the wheel change.
I am positive your alignment is screwd up. I can garuantee your front toe settings are whacked, and probably your thrust angle also. Just dont be lazy and say your car is too low(they did mine when i was that low). Any decent alignment shop can align a lowered car. Im sure the different tread patterns from having differents tires are reason why one would squeall and why the other wouldnt. But that still doesnt mean your toe settings are good. IMO $40-60 for an alignment is much better then spending money on tires every few weeks…

doesn’t that defeat the purpose of getting it aligned then?? if he raises the car up to get it aligned and then lowers it again, then the alignment specs will change. every time you raise or lower your car, no matter how small of an incriment, the camber, toe specs will change.
sir rev alot: where in the bay area are you at? i might be able to recommend a shop that can align your car being that low.

True, but it won’t change drastically. The point is that this is a far better solution to not aligning your car at all. With such rediculous camber (rediculous is a perfect word) if the toe is out of spec slightly the inside wear will be greatly exagerrated.
Go get your car aligned, or do whatever you can to make it possible.

You have got to be kidding…:dead:
San Leandro… my friend said motorsport in hayward might do it.
Try AutoInnovations over in Milpitas. They should be able to align it also. Thats where i got my alignment done.
How much did they charge? can you give me a phone #?
They charge $60 for the alignment and then if you want your camber kit adjusted, its an extra $10 per side. so i spent $80 total. They got my camber down to -0.6 degrees in the front. heres their number 408-956-8004
