where is the horn relay??
hmm dont think there is a horn relay. its just straight through power through a fuse. can someone confirm there? anyways, why do u ask? something wrong with your horns?
I don’t think there’s a relay but there’s a fuse in the fuse box underneath the hood also if this fuse is blown your brakes light won’t work
i know there is a relay because i called the acura dealership and they siad that i needed the old one to get the new one. there is a number on the side of the relay and they need that number in order to give me the correct new relay.
here is what happened, the other night my horn just starts going off. when i opened my door it shut off. i know it must be the relay.
come on guys i know there must be someone out there that knows where this thing is,
unless there isnt one, either way i need to know why this happened.
the other night my horn just started to go off, it was 7 in the evening and it had rained previously for a short period of time. i went out to my car and when i opened the door the horn stopped.
after taking off the bumper to examine the horns themselves i noticed that they were both getting a little bit of current, a small electrical type noise. the fuse is pulled right now so it does not happen again,
please help me
My 91 does not have a horn relay. 92 may be different. Looking through the helms, it is hard to find a way for the door to effect the horn. has there been any modifications to or had aftermarket attached to either of these circuits.
looked in my helms for the 92. it has no relay. since u said after it rained it happed. try putting in the fuse when its dry. see if it happens or not. if it doesnt i think u have a wire short or a open wire that the water is going through with another wire.
thanks for the replys guys,
but i find it weird that the acura delaership told me to call back with the RZ number on the relay so i could get a new one.
i am still scared to leave the fuse plugged in, becuase i do not want the horn to go off in th middle of the night.
it does whoever work fine now with no noises (excpet when i press the horn button).
so i guess i am looking for some suggestions on what to do next
like i said before. check for a open wire or a loose one that water can get into since u said it happens when it rains. so the water conduct current. blah blah blah u know what i’m talking about. just check the wires.
the guy at the dealership wants the part # because you called him on the phone. They just want to get you in the store.
