Just a quick story…
I moved to Jersey two months ago and my car was stolen but was recovered a week later with my headlights, tail lights, radio speakers, and foot pedal coverings stolen. (pedal covers I have no idea lol)
Any way they cut all the sockets off for the headlight, they were nice enough to leave the back ones intact but now i don’t have any sockets and I am kinda having a difficult time trying to find the sockets i need. Also I need to see which color wires go to which socket.
If anyone can help me out with model numbers for socket and how they connect I would greatly appreciate it. Pictures would always help as well.
This is more of a “want to buy” thing. I would suggest going to a junkyard and cutting those connectors off for yourself. That will also let you know what colors the wires should be. Or, even easier, go to the for sale section and find someone parting out a car. Sounds like you need lights to go with those connectors…so just ask the seller if they’ll include them. And you’ll be able to save some insurance money that way too.
Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I should have said that I already bought the parts necessary to fix the car.
I just need a little help with wireing.
Gotcha. Ok, I only have a 92-93 helms and it doesn’t give any pin-outs, but maybe the wiring colors will be the same:
I still think your best bet is going to be getting actual cut plugs with pigtails, but maybe there is enough slack in there that the new ones will reach.
Left Headlight:
Common BLK ground
Low beam = RED/YEL connects to under-dash fuse #4
High Beam = RED/GRN #10
Right Headlight:
Common BLK ground
Low = RED/WHT #3
High = RED/BLU #9
(note that fuses 9 and 10 and separately 3 and 4 share common nodes, but if you disconnect the fuses, you should be able to test for continuity from the fuse box to the wire at the front of the car to confirm my color codes)
Fog lights:
It looks like they share a common “hot” wire tht is RED/BLK
Grounds are BLK but appear separated in the wiring diagram.
They ultimately connect through the #19 fuse, but there is a relay between the lights and the fuse so the only way you can confirm them is through checking continuity to the B pin on the fog light relay. If you are looking at the pins on the relay with the “key” facing up, B is the lower left pin (and should also have a RED/BLK wire there on the plug).
Left Front turn signal is GRN/BLU (and BLK)
This wire connects inside to pin B11 on the “side marker relay circuit” which is built into the ICU.
Right Front is GRN/YEL (and BLK)
Connects to B4 on ICU.
Ok, there is also a “Left Front Side Marker Light” which I’m assuming is the bumper light since this sheet specifically says USA at the top.
Left Front side marker light is GRN/WHT (and BLK)
Connects to A5 on the ICU
Right Front side marker light is GRN/RED (and BLK)
Connects to A6 on ICU.
As far as which side of the light the pos. vs the neg goes? It doesn’t matter, it is just a light bulb, neither the car nor the bulb knows the difference. That should get you started.
