have you thought just to build your own. I have a JDM ITR header to magnaflow cat and mangaflow muffler. 2.5 all the way back. It sounds amazing. it only cost 450 to get built. soon im going to apexi gt spec muffler. its going to give some more power but gonna be so loud
I personally think the RS*R is best for our cars looks pretty much stock and sounds damn good.
The RS*R is indeed endless amounts of awesome…
… But it has also been discontinued for like 2+ yrs.

my “not that great” camera, seems to make it sound a little louder, overall, than it actually is. in person, it’s not QUITE as “audible” as the vids make it out to be. cam pics up too much bass. It’s actually a VERY smooth and subtle tone. VTEC, though…
Shish you’re a GSR-whore these days aren’t you?
indeed. lol. I’m in love with my swap. Didn’t think it would help me reconnect, this much, to something I was close to giving up on a year and a half ago.
I didn’t really like it at first, but the HKS Hi Power grew on me. It’s actually not too loud. I would suggest getting one made at an exhaust shop though. That way you can do it to however you’d like. Most likely cheaper, too.
I felt the same way when i did my 98 spec jdm itr swap… If you dont already you have to drive it with a short gear b16 tranny, its a completly different driving experience on top of the LS to Vtec feeling.
try to stay away from the 88-91 trannies and if possible look for a 92+ gsr/b16 cable or hydro.

The '89-91 transmissions can be rebuilt… unless you’re pushing 500+whp the older trannies work more than fine. But there is a lot less of a chance of a rebuild being necessary if you go for a hydro trans.
