I have a b18a with intake and exhaust. which header? I want a 4-2-1 so plz dont tell me to get a 4-1. Im leaning towards Neuspeed N2 or the JG edelbrock one. thanks for the input
well to tell yout he truth thoes are both reliable companies! I put on a ractive one my self! Got flamed that it wasnt good but hey im not trying to run 1/4 in 10 secs just wanted some better sound and performance at a lower cost! N-e ways as well you will be told by many to go for dc sports! Aperantly there the best and the g2 family ahs decided that this is what you should use!
Acutally, throw the DC Ceramic 4-2-1 in the mix there too, cuz i can get that one for 289+tax.
what are your future mods? the chikara torquestep is a favorite for low/mid power- those of us with mild setups (i/h/e). dc 4-2-1 for the people with built motors and want high end
I don’t know really what my future plans are, but I want to build something with a lot of power in the 4000-6000RPM range. I don’t plan on revving much past 7000 either. I was thinking that in the future I might buy some ITR pistons.
I have heard that a 4-2-1 is more for mid to high, and 4-1 is for high?

true
ya for 4-6k i think youd want the chikara
So what RPM range is the DC header designed for?
4-1 is probably for 7k+, 421 for around 5500-6500 (vtec), torkstep for 4-6500 i suppose. purely speculation
Get the Neuspeed N2 header if you want CC. An improved version of the DC CC.
I wouldn’t get the Chikara. It may add good midrange, but once you start doing more than just i/h/e, you will want your engine to breathe on the top end.

improved really, how so? i heard it has more ceramic coating… anyways, just installed it the other day. i dont have anything to compare it to, but i likes it a lot! great overall torque and response, nice 4k to redline boost
XDEep,
If you don’t mind me asking, where did you pick up the Neuspeed N2? Most of the online places I’ve checked out have it for > $350 (not including shipping). I have seen the DC for just over $300, shipped (4-2-1, ceramic).
Thanks!
Mike
where did you find the DC that cheap? Is that CC?
Oh, and I have a friend that wants to sell me a brand new painted Tork Step Chikara for about a $100. Now hear me out, my stock header was really dinged on a rock (nothing else was damaged). I was looking to just replace with OEM header, but a Chikara wouldn’t be a bad choice right?
vtec-typer: the website is http://www.digitalracer.com/default.asp for the DC Sports 4-2-1 Ceramic Coated (CC) at $304.95, free shipping (at least that’s the pricing for a '90-'91 Integra). I have never ordered anything from them, so I cannot vouch for their reliability . . . I think I heard about the site from someone on this board, though.
That sounds like a pretty awesome deal for the Chikara. It would probably cost that much to get an OEM exhaust manifold! [just checked at acuraautomotiveparts.net: they are asking almost $200]
Oh, BTW, how can I tell if it is in fact the Tork Step version? Is the regular one just one piece?

Is this the header you are talking about? It says for Gs/GSR 92-93. And then they have headers for 90-91 (but nothing about RS/LS). Umm, isn’t the GS have the same header as LS and RS? I am confused!

75 used with a ding on the bottom you sure? ive seen it around online for 250 or so
100 for a new torkstep? grab it and run like a thief like i did!

the pipes will get bigger in the middle, hence the “step”
