Which Lower Control Arm is this?

I have a set of rear LCA’s and I’m not sure which car they are for. Civic maybe? 3rd Gen teg? I have them sitting next to a set of DA LCA’s for comparison. As you can see the end bolts line up but the middle one doesn’t. One has a curve one doesn’t. I swear I saw this in a thread somewhere but I cant for the life of me find it in suspension or the elusive article.

Civic? 3rd Gen teg?

Thanks!

i haven’t seen that personally. if the outer lengths are the same it shouldn’t be an issue. dc ones don’t do that. i’m thinking EF lca’s, but i haven’t seen some b4. maybe jdm itr? i hope someone can shed some light to this.

the arm that is bent, yes bent as in damaged, looks to be from a 96-00EJ/EM. its not suppose to have a bend in it at all or the bend would become a focal point during suspension loading.

to know for sure which arm it is, simply measure the distance between the mounting location for the rear damper and the trailing arm. the 96-00 EJ/EM cars have a special arm. the angle and distance from the trailing arm mount is special only to them and they should only use it.

Hey man, well thanks for the input but in no way is that arm bent/damaged. The other one of its pair is exactly the same. So unless they are both bent/damaged exactly the same that just isnt feasible.

The rest you are probably right about tho, being from an ej/em or something and the different mounting hole is definatly for a different trailing arm system or shock mount.

Thanks for looking…Jurys still out on this one.

since your saying you have a pair of them and both have the same bend… i looked around.

still a believer that under load that the bend would be a focal point. and after talking with my buddy that “crubed” his 89 crx, i am even more convinced. he smacked a curb and the arm collapsed. i think this was a design on purpose, but for safety though.

that is a stock arm off a dc teg

i have worked on a few 94 up tegs and that is a rear lower
and it IS NOT BENT
they come like that

you can even see the bolthole where the abs wires go

THANK YOU 91tegraRS!!!

I got tired of people trying to tell me that 2 LCA’s were bent the exact same way accidentally and just happened to look stock lol.

Thanks again, I had given up on ever finding out.
