I was driving on the freeway today and noticed this whistling noise coming from the front left side of the car. I had never heard it before and don’t know what it is. Some people have said it may be belts that need to be tightened. However, my timing belt was replaced last year and i just had a valve adjustment done so it shouldn’t be the timing belt. I was thining either a loose alternator belt or a loose A/C belt (today was the first day I used my A/C for a long period of time). Please help ASAP. Thanks a lot.
It is probably one of your belts (alternator, A/C, power steering). Check them while your car is running and if you dont hear anything rev it a little and see if you can hear it.
All you have to do is pinpoint the problem then take the necessary means to repair it. Either a new belt or tighten the belt, if it is a belt.
