I think for our old integras, moderate rear quarter panel damage signals a total loss. That body panel is permanently welded to the car and is difficult to make smooth again.
He’s talking about replacing the ENTIRE rear of the DB2 with another DA/DB rear end (Floor board and all [Think gas tank and back])… I know a friend that’s DA is like that, But he didn’t do it… It was purchased like that and didn’t find out until years later.
The car is NOT safe and i’m amazed is road legal… I would not recommend doing this as the car is unibody and the structure is no longer as sturdy as it once was. Replacing the quarter panel is one thing, But the entire back end is a whole different ball game.
you live in the bay area, you can get rid of that car before you get in over your head, and find another decent stock car for uner $2k

A close up pic of the side would help. Perhaps you could also get a pic of it with the rear bumper off.

If you haven’t taken everything off to look at how bad the underneath damage is, then that would be one of the first things you would do. Then from there, you could either determine if you have to start cutting and welding new metal in (i.e. replace it entirely), or you start bending and tweaking with some crow bars and a couple of hammers. Then you would put the new parts back on, see how everything lines up, take them off and straighten some more. It’s pretty much a process of putting things on to look at it, taking them back off to tweak it some more, and repeat. I had to do that with the front end of my civic before. I know it’s a little different but the idea is the same. If the left quarter is messed up at all, then you might have some hard work ahead of you that would require more body work involving cutting and welding more then likely.
Good luck, hope you get it all lined up again.

You can. But i’d suggest take it to a body shop and put it on the frame pulling machine, They’ll straighten it out abit.
