Why is white smoke coming out of engine?

I did the fuel injection cleaning at Jiffy lube. After the tech disconnected the IV bottle and connected back the hoses, He revved the engine at that moment white smoke came out of the block. It stopped after a couple of seconds. No smoke afterwards. The tech had no idea too. What can that be?

I just started it again after typing the first paragraph and no smoke at all. Do I have to worry about this? Can anyone pinpoint a possible answer to this?

burning off the cleaner?

I agree as i gave the same response on TI.
And please don’t take advice from HT people, more then half of them guys don’t know shit and are all want to be ricers. Only like 10% know what there talking about.
Example

This guy don’t know what the hell he is talking about.
Thats your problem. Jiffy Lube has a bunch of ase certified college drop outs. At least the juffy lube in my area. Sorry to those of you that are educated and work at jiffy lube.
And Honda dose the same fuel cleaning as JL,but might run a different cleaner.

I’m fairly certain that honda doesnt recommend running any type of fuel system cleaner.

If it doesnt happen again dont worry about it.
How would this be possible when the exhaust gasket is made of aluminum?
Its the leftover cleaner that you seen, you’re ok.
And every JL I’ve been to have the best people working there as there all ASC certified and it take forever just to get a job there.

haha whats up 91 LS! Seriously, In my experience on all these forums, G2ic seems more knowledgeable. Thanks for looking out

the exhaust gasket is actually made of multi layer steel. and because of warpage of the mating surfaces, they can leak. their replies actually seemed relatively logical.
the guy at jiffy lube isn’t going to have an answer for you. reason being is that the people who work there generally don’t know or care about the reasons for throwing in additives/cleaners. they know how to do it, usually halfasserdly, and that’s about all. of course there are exceptions, but that is a general conclusion

I agree with you all the way. I don’t do oil changed with them cause I don’t know what their doing down there.

I watched him fiddling around of which hose to remove to inject the cleaner. I myself had to show him where it is. He also didn’t know how to put back the hoses on the clip. geez. I need to buy my own cleaning kit with bottle at Napa. I just didn’t want to fork up 100 plus dollars at napa for it. Jiffy just charges 50 bucks to clean it.

also the mechanics at the shop i use to work at says your suppose to rev up the motor every 5 minutes on a some what slow drip. adding all of the cleaner then reving the motor afterwards can clog the catylitic converter…they have to be real careful with those injector cleaners cause if they don’t it could cost you a motor…as long as your check engine light isn’t on you should be fine

H-T is just so big cause it is full of theives who sell and thrive on there and people who think that if there car sounds fast then it is.
