well I dont know why but when I hit the bearks my taillights dont come on. when my headlights are on they come on but when I apply the brake they dont light up…
fuse maybe?
I am not sure I understand…
You say if you turn on the park lights, [tail lights] or the head lights, the tail lights will come on, but if you step on the brake they go out?
Or is it the brake lights that do not work?
A better explanation of exactly what happens is needed. 94
Need more info if it is what FCM is saying where your brake lights don’t come on. Then let me ask you does your horn work? if the answer is no check your horn/brake light fuse under the hood
well if I turn my headlights on…the dim lights on the tails will come on…but when I hit the brakes they dont get brighter like normal…and the fuses are fine
Check the Bulbs!! Same thing happened to me. Check the Bulbs. Make sure that they are the right size and prongs.

then you have a brake light problem not a tail light problem.
Check the brake light switch on the brake lever.
Also, do the brake lights work if the head/park lights are not on?:hmm:94
i was thinking of the break light switch too, down by the pedal, maybe the button is stuck
well I looked yesterday and the switch is functioning…dont know if its igniting or not…I looked at the bulbs and only one of them was out…if one is out does that stop it from working?
If one bulb is out it does not keep the others from working.
You will need a multimeter or test light to check if you have power going to the brake switch and out of it when you step on the brake.:sipread:94
