wierd electrical problems

so, my car has been sitting in the shop a long time while ive been painting it. i forgot to disconnect the battery so i recharged it. the car starts just fine but for some reason. my cd player would not turn on, and the wire that powers it wasnt getting any power. my friend wired it up to somthing else. i forgot what it was but i always loose my radio presests and equalizer settings everytime i turn on my car. also, the dome and interior lights dont work, the dash clock doesnt work (its really really dim and doesnt work), and my cigarette lighter doesnt work which sucks because i need that for my gps. the rear defroster doesnt work, and my window wipers only work in med, and fast speed. so im having electrical problems and im horrible when it comes to electronics. i did notice though that everytime i put the fuse in for the int. lights, it blows right away. i have no idea whats going on.

Pull the HU, [cd player] and check the wiring… http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf

Because you lose your presets each time you turn ign. off means the HUs 12V constant lead, [probably yellow[ is not connected to a 12V constant, [hot at all times] source or it is the same 12V constant as the dome light.

The radio 12V constant fuse is fuse 14 -15A, [hot at all times] in under dash fuse box.
Fuse 14 is also for the dome and trunk/hatch lights, map lights if you have them, probably the clock and lighter fuse also.

If HU is wired correctly, unplug the lighter and the clock and see if fuse still blows, defective lighter housings are no uncommon on older cars.

What is the MM&Y of the car?
Other then the CD player, what other things have been added to the car, any mods? 94
