Wierd noise when driving.

So I have this wierd noise when driving. It’s only when I am driving though. If I’m stopped it wont make the noise. Driving with the clutch engaged or not it still will make the noise. It’s not a constant noise it’s more like a timed pattern. On for a few seconds then off. It sounds like it’s coming from the tranny side. At first it sounded outside the car but now it’s making another noise (at the same time) in the car by the heater or in the heater. Heater fan’s are turned off and it still does it. At first I was thinking an axel bearing because I can start to hear those when I turn the corner but it sounds like it’s on the opposite side. My radiator fan works fine. The next thing I could think of would be the tranny because it’s been a little while since I changed the fluid. Only other thought would be an engine mount but wouldn’t think it would be that timmed of a pattern. I know I’ve changed out my speedo cable a few years back so I don’t think that would be the problem either.

Could it be the ABS pump cycling? I had to pull my fuses cause it wouldn’t stop and eventually the ABS light would illuminate.

would the abs pump cycling sound something like a bird chirping/whistling? been hearing this a lot lately, are there any remedies for this problem? Other than replacing the pump motor?

I’ve had a few issues with my car so I haven’t had a chance to look. I don’t know if it’s the pump or not but it does sound a little like a chirp/whistle combination. I know there aren’t any rocks stuck in my rotors but I’m going to change out my pad’s & rotors here in the next week or two and I’ll crawl up under there and see going on at the same time. I’m planning on putting in some heavier ground connections today so I’ll pull the fuse and see if that doesn’t change anything.

Found this video on youtube, thought I should post it if anybody else hears it in theirs. Exactly the noise I was trying to explain. I’ll be looking into the abs modulator I guess.
