so i just replaced my axles because they were clicking really bad. it was loud. i just replaced them with new (not remanufactured) axles from shucks oriley, i put those in along with a new transmittion cv seal. it doesnt click when i turn now! but for some reason i hear a creaking noise, not so much a cliking noise but its somwhere in the middle. it happens in a short time when im at a stop and put a tiny bit of gas on and slowly lift up the clutch and as the car slowly starts to move,THAT is when i hear it, it lasts about 2 seconds. im not sure if this could be related to the axles being replaced. considering i dont think ive heard that noise before. i kinda feel somthing in the clutch when the noise is occuring but i think it could be the cable in the clutch or somthing but i definatley feel a little somthing in the brake pedal.
It could be the thin backing plate behind the rotor. I bend mine up all the time. Play with it a little bit, bend it away from the rotor/caliper (but not too much!)
If that doesn’t work, did you by any chance adjust/remove your strut rod when you replaced the axel? Make sure those are both snug back into specs because if its loose the caster will be way off and the tire will drag on the rear of the fender when your brake.
Also check the brake pads for wear, caliper binding etc. Other than that I dont know where the noise could be coming from.
hmmm its definatley a suspension issue, worn out bushings or somthing. thanks for the help!
