Will 88-00 civic/crx skunk2 coilovers fit DA?

Are the skunk2 coil over sleeves off a 88-00 civic/crx the same spring rates as the DA?

The have a different part no’s on the skunk2 website but just curious on the exact difference if anyone knows.

Integra 1990-2001 517-05-0720

Civic, CRX, Del Sol 1988-2000 517-05-0740

everyone has told me no. the da is diffrent dont know y tho

that’s what I heard too, but haven’t found a definite answer…

anyone have any insight?

The Intetra’s engine (B18A1) and power steering components are supstantially heavier than the other cars mentioned, except for maybe the Del Sol/Civic twin cam models, and generally condones higher spring rates on the front. I would assume that is the difference between the kits.

the OmniPower DA application says EF on the box. i called when i got them to find out if the spring rates would be wrong, since i needed them for a DA. they told me that the EF and DA part numbers are identical and the person i bought them from must have just sent me a box with EF written on it instead of DA. the product is identical

EDIT: these being coilover SLEEVES that you are looking to buy, i’d suggest going with the DA application. i also would assume that the spring rates would be higher in the front and rear for the DA. damn heavy ass cars! they will work though; just not as good as the DA application.

88 n up civic sprinngs do fit on a DA the only difference is the spring rate, since integ motors are alot heavier than D series motors its alot more stiffer than civic springs

so they will fit but just the spring rate is different?

yeah they will fit just different spring rates

ef skunk 2 coilovers

i actually have crx skunk 2 coilovers on my integra. it rides really good, and it rides really smooth because the spring rate is less.

so stock DA springs will fit on a crx? because im planning on swapping them.

i know i’s not directly answering the thread, but just for future reference i’ve gone through 3 different EF & CRX set ups in the last few months, as there’s no DA specific stuff in the UK. Bare in mind my b16 is a bit lighter up front.

  1. EF civic Jamex -50mm lowering springs and std shocks - car way too low and all over the shop, springs too soft and not enough damping.

  2. GAZ coilovers for EF9 CRX (only available in the uk) - 340f 290r. Front was a little soft, the rear linear rear springs were actually pretty stiff, only complaint was not enough small bump damping in the rear so an obnoxious ride day to day. Great on track mind, although still some understeer due to crapy oem AR bar. Got an ITR one going on nxt week  These must feel well harsh on a little CRX! Car sat pretty low, maybe 1.5 fingers at front, 1/2 a finger at the rear

  3. Ohlins Suspension kit for CRX (springs / dampers) - std rates=?? (Ohlins couldn’t tell me). I put the rears on tonight, and unfortunately they’re way to soft - despite the top hats being about 20mm higher, once the car sat down it was sitting WAY too low - top inch of my tyres are hidden lol. on road it still felt really nice though - now i want springs as stiff as the GAZ ones with an inch of progressive weaker wind on top to soften the ride a litttle day to day. Am gonna try the fronts out as well, as they feel really stiff, i can’t even think about compressing one with my weight (15st).

Anyone know if Ohlins ever made a kit for the DA??
