i kno this is a noob question and im sure ppl will answer with a one word reply but i’ve never really looked into getting a header until my friend told me it will help free up power and i will see more results from my sk2 stage1 cams. will a 92-93 header fit on a 90 integra? i kno its still the same motor and all but im wondering. i also have the b1 block with the a1 head instead of the a1 block, will that make any difference?
b1 a1?..idk what you mean, but i do know it will fit, but the problem is that you have an oxygen sensor at the beginning of your headers, the 92-93 header has it before it goes to the catalytic converter.
b18a1 and b18b1, is that what you mean? on my car right now is a b18a1 head with the b18b1 block out of an 00 integra, if that helps any. i recently bought a header from a guy with a b18a1 and where the oil pan and block connect in the front is where the problem is. it seems like the bottom of the header where the downpipe connects is bent so it hits the oil pan/block. haha, let me kno if your confused lol
only thing you may have to modify is the length of your wire for the oxygen sensor
for you question about the engine, you would have been better using the b18b1 head cuz the camshaft isnt exactly the same and give like 2more hp
but as you written you got aftermarket camshaft so then your ok with that!
you performance headers for sure will help you get those final horsepower that you were looking by adding performance cams
i suggest you using a tri-y type of headers with 2.5inch collector and cam gear, this way you will be able to adjust your valves overlap time and benefit from lot more power that is sleeping into that engine
Keep in mind if you’re still obd-0 and you relocate your non-heated o2 sensor that far away you will get some strange idle issues while warming up. It happened to me and disappeared when I converted to obd-1
