My friend has a b16a2 block sitting at his house that came out of his 2000 si will those pistons fit my ls block? Will they make my compression higher? I did want to put ctr pistons on my block but I am planning on doing up the whole head and getting some cams and I read that there wont be that much clearance with the ctr pistons and the valves might hit them because they have so high of a dome.
yes they will fit with some work im putting itr pistons in my block right now your going to need a shop to do it for you!! keep in mind you will have to get new injectors im using 310cc a fuel press regulator and some cam gears also !! also a apexi afc wouldnt hurt you keep in mind your uping the comp but without the fuel whats the point!! hope i helped!! my motor will be done this weekend ill post pics!! if you want to do it right there is alot involved i didnt list half the stuff thats being done!! b18a1 20 over also!!and my 403s will be in it!
He could have the shop install the pistons onto the rods and then he could install them into his block. Also stock injectors are fine till about 200 hp, so he shouldn’t have to upgrade those. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a good tuner using Chrome, Uberdata or similar program will take care of his fuel needs.
So which cams are you going with? Visit nonvtec.com for some LS builds that will give you some good ideas and dyno’s so you can decide which parts will work together the best for you.
the cams I want to use are the crower 403’s. I talked to the guys at inline pro over here in virginia and they said I could use some 310 injectors and tune the car with a hondata s100 for the setup I am planning on.
jg redline series head
jg ported throttle body
skunk 2 intake manifold
crower 403 cams
arp head and rod bolts
pistons?
rods, pistons, crank and flywheel balanced
kamikaze hi-temp black 4 into 1 header
straight pipe for track use onlyody messing up my tunning and stuff if
rsr exmag catback
310cc injectors
hondata s100
golden eagle block guard
act 12 pound flywheel
clutch? (heard act likes to fall apart)
I had already posted a different setup I wanted to do in a past post but I have done some more research and this hopefully will be my last idea at a setup. The guys at the place I talked about earlier said I would not need a fpr since they can do all the tunning through the hondata, and that if I did get a fpr there was more a chance of me or somebody messing with it and messing up the whole tune. But the pistons I am still undecided on since from what I have read here I am scared that if I use ctr pistons my valves will hit them thats why I am thinking about doing the ones my friend is giving to me for free. But I dont know what they are are they pr3’s or p30’s or whatever? Like I said before they are from a 2000 usdm civic si.
i love my act clutch in my 98 civic
and what work do you need to do to put b16 pistons in an ls block???
I really don’t understand why people type !!! after every single sentence they type…it’s like someone shouting when they’re standing 2 feet away…
 :gunright:
