I have had a few alignment problems since I lowered my car. First of all, when I drive my teg in a strait line I have to keep my steering wheel slightly turned to the left. Also my car pulls a little to the right. I just dont know what to do. I tried to get it aligned, but it obviously didnt work. What do I need to do to get it to drive nice and strait? (please help)
The camber kit only adjusts your camber, and camber does not affect your steering or make your car pull to one side.
I’m thinking maybe the alignment guys didnt do a good job. Make sure to check your caster and toe settings too. Do you have those printouts from the alignment?

The loser guys at Midas didnt give me a printout. THey just said that they couldnt really do much because the car was lowered. They told my that they could get the tires strait and thats all. I left and nothing was really changed! It was the same as when I brought it in.
Yeah I’ve heard of shops refusing to do alignment due to lowering. It is a bunch of BS.
I got mine that at National Tire & Battery, and I have a friend did his at Merchants.
I’d say look for a different place, hopefully someone more honest. And make sure you watch them do it.

Is the alignment for a lowered car going to cost a fortune?
No it should’nt.
It is the alignment. It shouldn’t really cost any more to align a lowered car than a regular one but I’ve heard of some places charging $20 more if there’s a camber kit because it’s another setting they have to adjust. Mine has a camber kit and they didn’t charge me extra but I had already set it when I installed it so that the camber looked decent. I’m not sure they even had to touch it when doing the alignment.
When I brought mine in they tried to tell me they couldn’t do it because the camber was off too much. Then I told them I had installed a camber correction kit that compensates from 1 to 3 degrees positive and they didn’t have any trouble after that. Apparently they hadn’t noticed it before. Then they tried to sell me $100 worth of “shims” for the rear but I told them nicely that I would use a couple of regular washers behind the upper control arm and they said ok. The rear camber is still out of spec but only by a few tenths of a degree so I dont’ worry about it.
