will ef suspension work on da?

i just got my skunk2 full coilover setup and i saw that its for a 88-91 civic. can i use the da forks or do i have to go out and get ef forks? please let me know asap cause i want to install this promptly. thanks

anyone?

They will fit the fork just fine… however they may not be optimal length. I’m not familiar w/ skunk2’s coilovers and whether or not they use different lengths for the DA and EF applications. I do know however that Koni RACE shocks for an EF are too short for a DA (I recently ran into this problem).

Stock EF shocks are shorter than DA shocks, but work just fine… if you’re working with shocks shorter than stock EF shocks you may run into problems.

thanks man.

i ran OEM EF shocks and EF lowering springs back when i first got my DA, it was on the floor, although partly due to the springs not being man enough.

if the coilovers can adjust long enough and have a high enough rate you should be fine, but it’s probably somehting you’re gonna have to try and then find out

car looked pretty sick (even wih the big old 17s) but was only just driveable

excuse for picture >>

Yes, they work. There’s a BIG thread on it. Search “Hybrid DA suspension.” It’s officially called " The ever elusive hybrid DA suspension article. It’s acually got a blue checkmark next to it.

the bodies on the EF are shorter. IF you wanna run a lower drop, they have more travel.

ok cool. now to find time to throw it in.

Just did the DC Integra strut/spring swap to a EF Civic today; along with some CRX SI brakes. Works great, no problems. Take that to the bank.
