On my toyota 4runner and my cousins celica we can have the window go up after the key is removed. this will last for a short period of time and then current stops. Does anyone know how this works? i would like to do it to my tegs. I was thinking maybe the window regulator has a capacitor maybe, but it would have to be pretty big to make the window go all the way up.
It’s called a “RAP” module, [retained accessory power], it keeps the cars acc. circuit hot until either a timer runs out or the drivers door is opened.
The RAP relay setup can be used for the windows, [instead of radio], the radio accessory wire, [output from relay] would get connected to the coil input of the power window relay, [fuse 16 - 20A, [hot in run and start] in under dash fuse box… http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp 94
that is some great info. thanx
